COMMUNITY SERVICES

CHINESE ELDERLY LUNCHEON CLUB

The Chinese Elderly Luncheon Club for over 60s, provides a supportive environment where elderly Chinese community members can enjoy nutritious meals and socialise. The club offers a variety of traditional Chinese dishes, catering to dietary preferences and cultural practices while promoting healthy eating habits. It is a place for seniors to connect with others, reduce isolation and engage with activities that improve their well-being. In addition to meals, the club may offer social programs, health seminars from health professionals and information on local services, helping ensure the elderly maintain an active, fulfilling lifestyle within their community.

chinese cultural and heritage

We promote Chinese culture and heritage through activities such as Chinese karaoke singing and cultural dance which are fun and engaging ways to celebrate traditions. Karaoke singing allows participants to enjoy classic and contemporary Chinese songs, connecting with the language and music of our heritage. Chinese cultural dance such as traditional folk or classical dances, showcase the beauty of Chinese history, costumes and movements. These activities not only foster a sense of pride in Chinese culture but also create opportunities for cultural exchange, allowing both younger and older generations to share the heritage with others in the community, keeping traditions alive.

counselling and translation service

This service provides essential support for individuals who may face language barriers. In a counselling setting, professional therapists offer emotional and psychological guidance while the translation services ensure clear communication for clients who speak different languages. This combination ensures that individuals can fully express themselves and understand the advice given, regardless of their linguistic background. Whether for mental health, legal or personal concerns, having both counselling and translation helps break down communication barriers, ensuring all individuals have equal access to support, foster trust and improving overall outcomes for those in need of assistance.
